Why Huron International Boarding School?

Huron International boarding school provides a strong sense of community filled with co-curricular programs and international exposure. In residence, students create powerful friendships with peers and enjoy learning experiences that last a lifetime. They learn to live with others, manage their time, take on various responsibilities, and lead a balanced life.

Today’s boarding school students often succeed at higher rates than public school students, especially in university and adult life, according to a recent study conducted by the Arts & Science Group of Baltimore for The Association of Boarding Schools, (TABS). The study also found that students are more likely to earn an advanced degree and achieve faster career advancement.

The TABS study also found that 78% of boarders reported they are motivated to learn by peers, compared to 49% of public school students. Living with students from diverse backgrounds informs the dialogue within residence, at meal times and in the dining hall. In addition, boarding students are often ahead of the curve when it comes to working efficiently, both in teams and independently.

Boarding school is a community, intentionally created to provide 24 hours of opportunity each day for the student’s growth and development. Similar as a university campus, Huron International School offers a supervised, structured student-focused environment.
